Instagram Comment Export Tools Compared

Six ways to get comments off an Instagram post, compared on what actually decides the choice: how big a post each one handles, what it costs at 100,000, 500,000 and 1 million comments, whether you need to log in or write code, and whether you’re signing up for a subscription.

The short version

  • Developers building a pipeline that pulls comments from many posts continuously, through an API: Apify or Bright Data.
  • Regular exports from several platforms, posts under 250,000 comments, and a monthly budget: ExportComments.
  • Comments on your own Business account, mainly for giveaways: CommentPicker.
  • One Instagram post — including posts with 100,000 to 2,000,000 comments — without a subscription or code: IGComments.

Apify figures are based on its official actor’s published rate of roughly $2.30–2.60 per 1,000 results; third-party Apify actors list from about $0.50 to $2.30 per 1,000. Bright Data figures are based on about $1.50 per 1,000 records pay-as-you-go (about $1.30 per 1,000 on its $499/month plan). Both bill per result returned, so final cost depends on how many comments are actually delivered.

One thing every tool has in common

No exporter can deliver 100% of the comment count Instagram shows on a big post. That number includes comments Instagram doesn’t serve to the public — spam-filtered, hidden by hidden-word filters, from restricted accounts, or from deleted accounts. On large giveaway posts, IGComments typically delivers about 85–92% of the displayed count, and if we deliver less than 85%, we refund the difference. Whichever tool you use, compare row counts against what is actually visible, not against the headline number. See why the Instagram comment count doesn’t match.

IGComments

Instagram only. Paste a public post or Reel link; no login. Free up to 200 comments, one-time passes up to 100,000 comments ($4.99, $9.99, $14.99), and a one-time Huge Post Pass above that, priced at $14.99 plus $0.75 per 1,000 comments over 100,000, up to 2,000,000 comments. Huge posts are collected in the background over one to three days with live progress and an email when ready. Replies included; Excel, CSV and JSON; built-in search, filters and stats.

Not a fit if you need an API, many posts on a schedule, other platforms, or private accounts. More: exporting 1 million+ Instagram comments.

ExportComments

A multi-platform exporter (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and others) with short passes and monthly plans. As of October 2026 its largest self-serve limit is 250,000 comments per post on the Business plan, at about $199/month; it runs exports in the background and emails you. Larger posts aren’t offered self-serve.

Good choice if you export regularly across several platforms and your posts stay under 250,000 comments. Comparison: ExportComments alternative.

ExportGram

An Instagram-focused exporter with monthly plans. As of October 2026 its largest listed plan covers posts up to 75,000 comments at about $120/month, and that plan was listed as out of stock when we checked. Bigger posts require contacting them.

Apify

A developer platform for running scrapers (“actors”). Apify’s official Instagram Comment Scraper has no published hard cap and returns the comments visible to logged-out users, billed per result — roughly $2.30–2.60 per 1,000 as of October 2026. Third-party actors on Apify are cheaper per result (from about $0.50 per 1,000) with varying reliability. You configure runs, handle the output dataset, and pay per result.

Better than IGComments if you’re a developer who needs scheduled runs, an API, many posts or other Instagram data in one pipeline. For a single big post without code, see the Apify alternative page.

Bright Data

A web data company that sells an Instagram comments scraper and datasets, billed at about $1.50 per 1,000 records pay-as-you-go as of October 2026 (about $1.30 per 1,000 on its $499/month plan), and states it doesn’t charge for failed deliveries. It’s built for teams who want data delivered by API or to cloud storage.

Better than IGComments if you need ongoing, high-volume Instagram data with engineering support on your side.

CommentPicker

A long-running giveaway tool. Its Instagram comment export works through Instagram’s official API, which means connecting your own Business or Creator account with Facebook login and exporting only posts on that account. It’s focused on giveaways rather than very large exports. Comparison: CommentPicker export alternative.

Which should you use?

  • You’re a developer and need comments from many posts, on a schedule, via API: Apify or Bright Data. You’ll pay more per comment than a one-off export, but you get automation and scale across posts.
  • You export from several platforms every month and posts stay under 250k: ExportComments.
  • You only need your own Business account’s posts for a giveaway: CommentPicker works, or use Pickfetti (our sister giveaway picker, no Facebook login, posts up to 100,000 comments).
  • You need one Instagram post exported — 200 comments or 2,000,000 — without a subscription, an account or code: IGComments. Paste the link above to see the exact price for your post.

IGComments is independent and not affiliated with any of the companies named here, with Instagram or with Meta.

Frequently asked questions

Which tool can export the most comments from one Instagram post?

Among no-code consumer tools as of October 2026, IGComments handles the largest posts we know of: up to 2,000,000 comments, one-time price. ExportComments’ self-serve limit is 250,000 and ExportGram’s is 75,000. Developer platforms like Apify and Bright Data have no published cap but need setup and bill per result.

How much does it cost to export 1 million Instagram comments?

With IGComments, $690 once. As of October 2026, roughly $2,300–2,600 with Apify’s official actor and about $1,500 with Bright Data pay-as-you-go; ExportComments and ExportGram don’t offer it self-serve. Check each provider’s current pricing.

Is Apify cheaper than IGComments?

For one large post, no: at 500,000 comments Apify’s official actor costs about $1,150–1,300 versus $315 with IGComments. Some third-party Apify actors charge less per result, and Apify is the better tool if you need automation across many posts.

Do any of these tools get 100% of the comments Instagram shows?

No. Instagram’s count includes spam-filtered, hidden-word filtered, restricted and deleted comments that it doesn’t serve publicly. On large giveaway posts, expect roughly 85–92% from any tool reading public comments.

Which tools need an Instagram login?

IGComments, Apify and Bright Data read public comments without your Instagram login. CommentPicker’s export needs Facebook login with your own Business or Creator account.

Which tools are subscriptions?

As of October 2026, ExportComments, ExportGram and CommentPicker sell monthly plans; Apify and Bright Data bill per result, with optional monthly plans. IGComments is one-time per post.
