Huge posts · up to 2,000,000 comments
Export 1 Million+ Instagram Comments
Most comment exporters stop somewhere between 5,000 and 250,000 comments. IGComments exports public Instagram posts and Reels with up to 2,000,000 comments — replies included — to Excel, CSV or JSON. You pay once for that post, we collect the comments in the background over one to three days, and email you when the file is ready.
What IGComments can export
- Post size: any public Instagram post or Reel with up to 2,000,000 comments, as counted by Instagram.
- What you get: one row per comment — username, comment text, time posted (UTC), likes, mentions and hashtags — plus replies, each linked to the comment it answers.
- Formats: Excel (XLSX), CSV (UTF-8 with BOM, so Excel shows emoji and accents correctly) and JSON.
- No login: you never connect an Instagram or Facebook account. Public posts only.
- Price: a one-time Huge Post Pass for that post, priced by its comment count and shown before you pay. No subscription; nothing renews.
Smaller posts work the same way and are much faster: up to 200 comments free, and one-time passes up to 100,000 comments. See the Instagram comment exporter for those.
Who exports posts this big
- Brands and agencies with a viral launch, a collab or a campaign post that drew hundreds of thousands of comments, who need the feedback, questions and complaints in a spreadsheet for a report.
- Large giveaways, where the host or a sponsor wants a full record of every entry — who commented, when, and whom they tagged.
- Journalists and researchers studying public reaction to a news event, a public figure or a political post, who need the raw text for coding or analysis.
- Public figures and their teams reviewing the response to an announcement at a scale nobody can read by scrolling.
If you need comments from many posts continuously, or an API feeding a data pipeline, a developer platform is likely a better fit — see how the tools compare. Whatever the use, read is it legal to export Instagram comments? before you publish or reuse what you collect.
How a huge export works
- Paste the link. We check that the post is public and read Instagram’s comment count. You see the first comments for free and the exact one-time price for the whole post.
- Pay once. Collection starts straight away and runs on our servers, not in your browser.
- Watch or walk away. The page shows live progress. You can close it; we email you when the export is complete, and the same link keeps working.
- Download, search or filter. Export everything, or search for a word or @username, keep one comment per person, filter by date or replies, and export just those rows. Stats show unique commenters, top commenters, most-mentioned accounts, hashtags, words and emoji.
How long it takes
Instagram hands out comments a page at a time, so a post with hundreds of thousands of comments can’t be downloaded in minutes by anyone reading it the way the public does. Plan on one to three days for a huge post.
On a real 82,096-comment post we measured in October 2026, collection ran at roughly 550–630 comments per minute. It survived interruptions and resumed exactly where it left off rather than starting over. At that pace a 1 million-comment post takes roughly a day to a day and a half; a 2 million-comment post takes longer.
What to expect: about 85–92% of the number Instagram shows
Be ready for this before you buy: on big posts, nobody can download 100% of the number under the post. Instagram’s displayed count includes comments that exist in its systems but are not shown to the public — comments caught by spam filters, hidden by the account’s hidden-words settings, posted by restricted accounts, or left by accounts that have since been deleted or deactivated. No exporter can retrieve those, because Instagram doesn’t serve them.
On large giveaway posts we typically deliver about 85–92% of the displayed count. Giveaways attract a lot of spam and throwaway accounts, so they tend to sit at the lower end.
Instagram’s comment list also sometimes ends early on very large posts. When a pass through the list finishes well short of the count, we automatically walk it again and keep only the comments we didn’t already have. On the 82,096-comment post above, the second walk took the export from 71% to about 90% of Instagram’s count.
Our guarantee: if we deliver less than 85% of the comment count Instagram shows, we refund the difference. More on the gap in why the Instagram comment count doesn’t match.

Giveaways with this many comments
IGComments exports and analyzes comments; it doesn’t pick winners. Our sister tool Pickfetti runs verifiable giveaway draws, currently for posts up to 100,000 comments — for anything larger, contact Pickfetti directly. You can still export the full entry list here and keep it as your record.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export 1 million comments from an Instagram post?
Yes. IGComments exports public Instagram posts and Reels with up to 2,000,000 comments, replies included, to Excel, CSV or JSON. A 1 million-comment post costs $690 once, with no subscription.
How long does a 1 million-comment export take?
Roughly a day to a day and a half. We measured about 550–630 comments per minute on a real large post in October 2026. Huge posts generally take one to three days; you get an email when it’s ready and can close the page meanwhile.
How much does it cost to export 500,000 Instagram comments?
A one-time $315 Huge Post Pass for a 500,000-comment post. Pricing is $14.99 for the first 100,000 comments plus $0.75 per 1,000 above that, rounded up to a whole dollar.
Why won’t I get 100% of the comments Instagram shows?
Instagram’s count includes comments it doesn’t show the public: spam-filtered, hidden-word filtered, restricted and deleted accounts. No tool can download those. On big giveaway posts we typically deliver about 85–92% of the displayed count. If we deliver less than 85%, we refund the difference.
Can I search and filter a million comments?
Yes. Search by word or @username, filter by date range or replies, keep one comment per person, and see stats such as unique commenters, top commenters, mentions, hashtags, words and emoji — then export only the rows you filtered.
Are replies included?
Yes. Replies are collected too and each is linked to the comment it answers, with the username and comment ID it replies to.
Can I export comments from a private account?
No. Only public posts and Reels can be exported, and we never ask for an Instagram login.
What happens if the export is interrupted or fails?
Collection runs on our servers and resumes exactly where it left off after an interruption — you don’t need to keep the page open or start again. If the final export comes in under 85% of Instagram’s count, we refund the difference.
Is it legal to export Instagram comments?
Exporting publicly visible comments is common for research, reporting and giveaways, but what you do with the data matters, and rules differ by country. Read our guide at /guides/is-it-legal-to-export-instagram-comments; it is general information, not legal advice.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once for the post you need. Nothing renews.
